Recording Your Part

Once you've familiarized yourself with the piece, pick a part that matches your range, wherever you love to sing the most!

I recommend that you listen to and sing along to your part as many times as you need before you recording. If you are like me, you will have the easiest time if you have practiced over multiple days.

When you record, use headphones or earbuds to listen to the guide track while you sing. This will enable you stay in time and in tune with the other singers.

The simplest way to record is to record a video straight through on your phone or computer. If you have some video editing skills, feel free to record multiple takes and edit them together. If you have audio editing skills, feel free to record audio-only, edit it together, and then record video of yourself singing along to your audio. In short, record in whatever way you are most comfortable!

Submitting Your Recording

When you are done, submit your recording or recordings in the project dropbox.

You are free to submit either a single video file or the audio and video files separately at that address.

The deadline for submissions to be included in the song-release video is end-of-day on Sunday, November 1, 2024.

About the Piece

"Under All Conditions" came to be in 2020 during the first year of the pandemic and was revised for a cappella 8-part choir in early 2024.

The text is excerpted from a recently translated Bahá'í prayer that so beautifully expresses ecstatic gratitude and praise of our Creator, under whatever circumstances life may bring.
